Back and Better: Why I Took a Break and What’s Coming Next

Hey, BBH Fam!
It’s been a while, and I’ve missed y’all. Some of you may have noticed that Beyond Broke and Hungry has been a little quiet this year. Well, I’m excited to say that I’m back, and I wanted to take a moment to share what’s been going on and what you can expect moving forward.
Why I Took a Break
Life happens, right? Sometimes we get so caught up in the daily grind that we forget to check in with ourselves. This past year has been a whirlwind—my business life was taking off, and while it was exciting, it left little room for much else. Juggling it all meant I had to step away from Beyond Broke and Hungry to focus on other projects and to regroup mentally and physically.
This time away has allowed me to reflect on what’s important and to realign with the things that truly fuel my passion—helping all of YOU live healthier, happier, and more balanced lives without breaking the bank.
What I Learned
I used this break as a chance to reevaluate my wellness journey. Here’s a little bit of what I’ve learned:
• Burnout is Real: Sometimes, the best thing you can do is take a step back and breathe. Pushing through exhaustion does more harm than good.
• Wellness is a Journey, Not a Destination: It’s okay to hit pause when life gets crazy. The key is getting back on track and not being too hard on yourself.
• Balance is Key: Running a business, managing a personal life, and staying healthy all at once isn’t easy, but it’s possible with the right mindset and a bit of self-care.
• God is Good: During this break, I’ve been constantly reminded of God’s goodness in my life. Even in moments of overwhelm or uncertainty, His faithfulness has been a guiding light. This time away gave me the space to reconnect with my faith and realize that no matter what, He’s always in control, and for that, I am so grateful.
