Napa Valley, CA

Napa Valley has always been a dream of mine to visit and for my 30th birthday, I made it a reality!
Myself, my mom, and six of my best gal friends flew across the states to indulge in all the amazing foods and views wine country had to offer.
It was a little intimidating planning this trip, especially with a larger party, but I have to say our experience from top to bottom was absolutely incredible!
We all flew in on a Friday, had a very chill night at the Airbnb, watched 13 Going on 30 (a classic pick for the occasion), and made dinner and called it an early night so we could be fresh and ready for day one.
Here was our itinerary for our two days in Napa Valley Wine Country:
DAY ONE
We made breakfast at the airbnb and then headed to Castello di Amoroso for a wine tasting and self tour of the grounds.
The views and photo opts here were something out a fairy tale.
Our taste guide, Gianni, was kind enough so let us “split the table” so instead of 5 wines, we shared our glasses and in total, sampled 11.
For the table, I had reserved three charcuterie boards and three chocolates to pair with our tastings.
The goat cheese our favorite and made from fresh goat milk from the goats the keep on the grounds!
We then stopped at a Napa valley sign that was on our way to the next stop.
After that, our next stop was an intimate tasting at VGS Chateau Potelle.
This was probably our favorite stop in terms of ambiance. We were greeted with wine before even being sat and our table was ADORABLE.
Our host, Kathi, was an delight. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and we shared a few laughs about wine innuendos.
I’m not a HUGE white wine drinker, but their Chardonnay…. I will never have another one that will compare.
This stop is 10000% going to be on my itinerary next time I visit and this time I’ll be adding the culinary experience to our reservation.
Before dinner, we did a pit stop at The Saint Wine Bar to kill some time and try some delicious reds.
We ordered another charcuterie board because we all needed another snack at this point.
We then headed to dinner at Goose and Gander. They sat us in the courtyard and the vibes were super chill.
Their ribeye melted in my mouth and the outdoor seating area was so cute! If you plan on ending your day in St Helena, this is a great stop!
DAY TWO
We started off with some Veuve Clicquot while we got ready at the Airbnb.
After we got ready, we ordered ahead and picked up breakfast at Model Bakery.
This is a MUST stop on your Napa agenda! They have three locations, we went to the one in St. Helena. I definitely recommend your party order ahead online for pick up because the line will LONG.
I ordered the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich and the Pain Au Chocolate Croissant. Both were absolutely incredible.
And then of course, I had to order an iced Americana with a little coconut milk, lavender syrup and some whip on top!
After we filled our tummies with some incredible breakfast, we headed to Miner Family Winery.
The wine was very tasty, the vibes were super cool and the views were even better!
Next was Oakville Grocer to sample a few of their self serve wines and grab a bite to eat at the market.
There were over 65 different wines to sample and you could chose from a 1 ounce pour, a half, or full glass.
Upon checking in, we received a glass and “wine card” to keep track of the wine we selected to try.
While we were enjoying the choices of wine, we walked into the market to get some lunch. The choices were all amazing from sandwiches to personal pizzas.
I ordered the Bri and Prosciutto and although I thought it was yummy, I think next time I’ll go the pizza route.
Overall, the Oakville Grocer was a fantastic stop and I would absolutely recommend you put it on your Napa agenda.
I know it will be on mine when I go back!
After that, we stopped at Beringer Vineyards for their sip and stroll.
The girls and I got a glass of the Savignon Blanc and the Rose to start our stroll
The property was super cute and we enjoyed taking some fun pictures!
Our last stop was downtown Napa for gift shopping and dinner.
While we waited for our dinner reservation, we popped into Be Bubbly to share a bottle of champagne.
This little wall was super cute too!
After we finished our bubbly, it was time to walk across the street to Grace’s Table for dinner.
All of the food there was AMAZING. We ordered the Iron Skillet Cornbread with lavender honey butter for the table and also shared the Glazed Pork Belly.
And for my main meal, I ordered the Southwest Tamale. Highly recommended!
And for dessert: crème brûlée!
A word to the wise, we didn’t realize this restaurant didn’t have a liquor license, so when we all ordered espresso martinis, we didn’t know they were made with Saki wine.
Truthfully, they just tasted watered down to us. But everything else was great!
I wish I could remember the name of the gift shop, but it was super close to where we had dinner!
Overall, the trip was an absolute treat and I’m sure no matter where your Napa adventures take you, you will enjoy it!
Cheers 🍷
